EXERCISE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
At Transformations it is understood that people with disabilities have exercise and fitness goals that are the same as the typical exercise and fitness goals often listed by people without disabilities -- including weight loss, toning up, training for sport, and learning about healthy eating and balanced lifestyle.
Exercise and movement are important for everybody and offer health lifestyle benefits that extend beyond physical goals to include psychological, emotional, and social well being. I have been working with people with disabilities in fitness and rehabilitation settings for nearly 20 years; my skill and expertise are in adapting and modifying exercise and in creatively and flexibly delivering sessions that will allow you to work towards your fitness and health goals. I will start with you from wherever you are, I will work to your strengths and will incorporate the way it suits you to do things, and will work with you to find ways to do things that matter to you.
