Personal Training
I believe that movement is for every body.
My mission as your personal trainer is to help and motivate you to move: to move more often, to move better and without pain, to move in a way that will enable you to do the things that matter to you in your day to day life, to move in new and different ways that challenge your body and take you towards your goals, and to move towards a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.
Exercise that works for you
I am passionate that exercise and all of the health and lifestyle benefits of exercise should be viable, accessible options for everybody, regardless of your age, your starting point, your size, your shape, or your past experience. I believe that exercise is right for you, and can be tailored to suit your specific needs.
My sessions are always targeted towards your individual goals. I offer corrective exercise, rehabilitation, pain management, and functional mobility combined with general fitness, fat loss and lifestyle coaching. My training style is engaging, interactive, and highly professional. I am passionate about food and about helping you find ways to enjoy food without sabotaging your health and fitness goals.
I have been working in disability, Conductive Education and rehabilitation for more than 25 years, specialising in teaching movement strategies and skills to people with disabilities caused by conditions such as cerebral palsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and various other neuro-muscular conditions. I bring this wealth of experience into my role as a personal trainer.
I have learned to break down complicated movements and goals into simple achievable steps, and to approach everything from a positive, problem solving, can-do attitude. I enjoy nothing more than celebrating your achievements large and small with you.
Functional mobility and rehabilitation
There are times when exercising is about losing a bit of weight or toning up, or about performance in a sport. However, there are other times when you are motivated to exercise because you want to recover from an injury or an accident, or to make the best of a medical condition.
Times when you are in pain and want to reduce that pain and improve the quality of your life. Times when you want to be able to move through your day more easily, more fluently. Times when you want to have more energy and to feel better. Times when you want to learn or relearn specific tasks that are important to your mobility and independence. Times when you, or members of your family or other people involved in your care, need to develop strategies and skills for managing whatever challenges your body is facing so that you can get on with your life.
It is during these times that you need a personal trainer whom you can trust: a personal trainer with years of experience who can tailor your sessions to your specific mobility and rehabilitation needs, and who can work with you in a gym setting or at your home if that is the better option for you.

Exercise for people with disabilities
At Transformations it is understood that people with disabilities have exercise and fitness goals that are the same as the goals often listed by people without disabilities, including weight loss, toning up, training for sport, and learning about healthy eating and a balanced lifestyle.
Exercise and movement are important for everybody and offer benefits that extend beyond physical goals to include psychological, emotional, and social wellbeing.
My skill and expertise are in adapting and modifying exercise and in creatively and flexibly delivering sessions that will allow you to work towards your fitness and health goals. I will start with you from wherever you are, work to your strengths, incorporate the way it suits you to do things, and work with you to find ways to do the things that matter to you.
